Ascend is a Progression Raiding Guild on the Dalaran US Server. Our main focus is PvE Raid Progression, period. Therefore, we will conduct business, make decisions, and carry ourselves in such a manner to best tailor to that mindset. Loot distribution, raid composition, and everyday schedule will be setup to best allow us to progress. If you enjoy conquering end game raid content, putting forth the work and effort to achieve goals within an integrated team, and kicking ass while doing so, then just maybe you'll find a nice home here.

Being able to fit in, work well with our current established team, and not be a fucking idiot are highly important details to consider when applying here. Seeing as raid progression is our focus, you could be the best WoW player we have ever seen, but if we all hate you because you smell and can't listen to a damn thing we say, you will be kicked to the curb. Leave the drama at the instance portal please.

Be fair warned, most of us are college students, aka 21+ years old, so if you mess up you will hear about it. Most likely in the form of someone ranting and raving and making a point to publicly humiliate you on Ventrilo for the remainder of your raid night. There will be sexual humor, cussing, and insults thrown around at your expense. If this turns you off, you may want to close your browser page. But hey, we're friendly people... well most of us.

We pride ourselves on server firsts, and we will continue to do so in upcoming content. We currently hold server firsts for:
- 3 Drake Sartherion

- 6 Minute Malygos

- Heroic Immortal

- Conqueror of Naxx

- Death's Demise

- Light of Dawn

- Various Unimportant Server First Boss Kills

We also hold all instance raiding achievements: Glory of the Raider, Heroic: Glory of the Raider, Glory of the Ulduar Raider, Heroic: Glory of the Ulduar Raider, Glory of the Icecrown Raider 10/25 man.

Basically yes, we clear all the content in the game and have seen everything.

Loot:

Loot is handled via a Loot Council System. It is a handpicked, reliable, fair group of 8 individuals who will make decisions based upon a numerous amount of factors. Some include attendance, raid performance, previous loot, margin of upgrade, and whether or not we like you. Just kidding on that last one. And yes we will know when and what you received in your raiding history, so our decisions will be warranted. GUILD progression is the forefront of loot distribution. The council is comprised of each respective officer, caster / melee / healing / tank , the GM / Raid Leader, 1 permanent LC member who earned his/her right to have that job, and 2 randomly picked raiders who are randomly rotated in every 2 weeks to offer their opinions.

Raid Times:

Sunday - Thursday. 8pm EST to 12 midnight EST. Friday and Saturday off (Hey we try to let people have a life outside raiding). Invites go out at 7:30 pm

Expectations:

Above all else, you must be able to perform your job in situations where 24 others are counting on you not to fuck up. Achieving all this while maintaining a "can do" attitude even when people are mocking you for fucking up the previous pull.

You must know your class inside and out, like the back of your hand. There is no "well I'm good at this but I can't do that very well." Demonstrate this pro-ness of your class via performance in raids. We use recount, WMO, WOL and WWS parses, so we will see what types of skills you are using, how much damage or healing you do, how much damage you can mitigate, when you die because you're a fucking moron, when you fail, and when you rise above and own one of our current raiders. (Then we get to make fun of them and you can laugh too till we tell you to shut-up)

Having raiding experience is mandatory, in some way shape or form. If you do not, you better be damn well ready to show us you can raid. We are deep into hardmode content and previous hardmode experience will help your chances.

Gear doesn't make the player, but the player definitely makes the gear. Show us your commitment to off-spec gear, gemming and enchanting with the best, and the time and effort you put into it.

One thing that you probably don't want to do your first night raiding: "Hi guys I've never been here before what does this boss do again?" I will probably g-kick you on the spot if one of my officers does not before me. Read up strats, come prepared with consumables, know general mechanics. Please use current guild members to learn the tricks and methods we use to down bosses before you get to the boss. Coming prepared and not having to ask a million dumb questions you could find by taking 5 minutes on WoWhead or Bosskillers will get you brownie points.

Speak up please, being silent in this guild is not an option. If you have feedback for us let's hear it, we will definitely have some for you. If you have suggestions for a strat or any questions because you don't understand, please talk. Ventrilo will be very active and we have alot of fun, but when it comes to a boss buckle down and make sure you know what you are doing.

We have a very strong and integral group of core raiders. We have been together for a long time and are looking to absorb people who wish to buy into that mentality of a family. Loot-whores, drama llamas, and trust fund babies expecting things to be handed to them on a silver platter GTFO please.

You MUST be able to make 3/5 days we raid to maintain Raider rank, we offer many opportunities for members to take nights off so that should not be a problem. New recruits should be expected to make 4/5 if not 5/5 of the raids. You are trying to prove something to us, skipping out on raid nights probably not in your best interest.

What we have to offer:

My my my, all of these requirements, at least you got to the good part if you're not scared shitless by now.

In exchange for your life and endless servitude, we offer an environment that values teamwork, efficiency, hard work, and sense of accomplishment. You'll get to see content and experience things you probably would never get a chance to in this game. And hey, maybe get some purples along the way. If brought into this family you will get to take advantage of the multiple guild policies that you will find out about once membered. We kill shit, you'll have fun here. And we have a hell of a time while doing it. Have had multiple compliments from recruits and buyers about how crazy and awesome our guild atmosphere is, while still doing cutting edge content.
